Sean Gunn is an alumnus of PSU's Graduate School of Education and has been the head coach since 2019. For the three previous seasons, he was an assistant coach at PSU. Before coaching at Portland State, Sean attended University of Portland where he played received a Bachelors of Arts in History. During his four years of lacrosse, the Pilots made playoffs four times and reached the PNCLL Championship Game three times. He scored his first collegiate lacrosse goal against Portland State's Nik Lund (stepping in for a penalized goalie) in 2012.
